DMC in Blue!

I’ve been using Bluehost.com for domains FOREVER! Despite that neither the wife or I don’t blog anymore, we created our blogs, and their respective domains, a LONG, LONG TIME AGO. I mean, once upon a time, I was developing my own blogging software that I called “rantfest”, and had half a dozen blogs running it. But at some point, I stopped coding, and shifted to pre-built stuffs, ie wordpress.

When I first decided on the doylemade.com (DMC, because I’m lazy), I opted to go for squarespace.com. It was all the rage in the youtube.com peeps I followed (and it is pretty awesome).

Originally, my goal with DMC was a little different from the normal woodworking social presence. I had a booth at a local vendor mart where I was going to display my wares. I was going to post the occasional video on youtube.com to show both how to create said wares and how much profit/deficit it created.

While I never thought the goods I made or any of the videos I produced for DMC would actually make money, I was hoping that my booth profits would at least pay for the booth. Hehe, yeah, Covid. In the 12 months I diligently ran my booth, I only made money to cover one month. Needless to say, it was a little disheartening.

I took a couple of years off, shifting my attentions to other things, but I think I might just be ready to create again.
